Main Street Hartsville
The Main Street Hartsville program is a partnership of the City of Hartsville, Community Foudnation for a Better Hartsville and Main Street South Carolina, a program of the National Main Street Center. The organization seeks to build a vibrant downtown in Hartsville, focusing on thriving businesses, entertainment, recreating and historic preservation. It follows the Main Street Four Point Approach of Organization, Promotion, Design and Economic Restructuring.

Partnering with Main Street Hartsville
Partner with Main Street Hartsville and help us grow our business and retail base, support promotional and entertainment events and improve the vitality of our historic downtown. Main Street Hartsville needs engaged members of the local community to volunteer for the committees which will direct its activities and advance its purpose of a thriving downtown Hartsville. Those interested in committee service may contact email@example.com.
- Promotion Committee – This committee focuses on promotional efforts to make downtown an attractive to visitors and investors alike, covering all special events, marketing, special retail efforts and more.
- Design Committee – A downtown which is attractive to shoppers, visitors and businesses needs to have an excellent appearance in its buildings, storefronts, signage, public spaces and more. The Design Committee focuses on projects relating to every aspect of the commercial district’s physical condition.
- Economic Restructuring Committee – This committee focuses on means by which to enhance and diversify the commercial district, assisting the sales skills of business owners and filling storefront vacancies.
Good Living Marketplace
Hartsville’s Good Living Marketplace provides a fun and family-friendly activity on Cargill Way in downtown the second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event features local vendors, artisans, nonprofit organizations and special events.

Sign and Paint Replacement Program
This grant program will provide funding to be used by downtown districts for replacement of exterior signage and repainting of building exteriors. Funds will be provided through an application and review process.
