The Annual Hartsville Veterans Day Celebration will be held November 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Burry Park. This year’s celebration has been a collaborative effort by various organizations in the community and will be a wonderful event to honor area veterans for the sacrifices they have made. All committee members involved have dedicated their time and efforts to ensuring that this celebration is one that the community will remember and cherish for years to come.
City of Hartsville Director of Tourism and Communications, Lauren Baker commented on the upcoming celebration, “The Veterans in our country are so deserving to be honored for the sacrifices that they and their families have made for our country. What better place for the people of Hartsville and the surrounding areas to come together than in Burry Park right in front of the beautiful Veteran’s Monument. This celebration will be one for the entire community and we are excited to play a part in it.”
This celebration has been hosted by the Pilot Club of Hartsville for many years, but has been expanded this year to include representatives from The Pilot Club of Hartsville, the Hartsville American Legion Post 53, the National Guard, Local State Delegation (Sen. Gerald Malloy, Speaker Jay Lucas, and Rep. Robert Williams), and the City of Hartsville.
Burry Park is located at 131 Cargill Way, Hartsville, South Carolina. Parking is available in any of the City parking lots surrounding the park.
