On Thursday, March 12, crews will be removing a hazardous tree at the intersection of East Home Avenue, Fourth Street and Laurel Oak Street in Hartsville. This work was originally scheduled to take place in February, and was postponed because of inclement weather.
Beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting for at least two hours, road closures for through traffic will be in effect on East Home Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets, as well as Laurel Oak Street at the East Home intersection. During the closure, westbound traffic on East Home Avenue will be diverted onto Fourth Street, and northbound traffic will be diverted right onto East Home Avenue. Additionally, there may be occasions during which nearby traffic on Fourth Street and East Home Avenue is stopped by flaggers for safety concerns.
