Neptune Island Announces Season Pass Holiday Sale

As we settle into the colder months and summer seems far away, Neptune Island Waterpark is eagerly preparing for its next season. In that spirit, Neptune Island is excited to announce 2021 Season Pass sales will begin on Monday, November 30, 2020 during Cyber Monday. 2020 Thanksgiving DUI Enforcement Campaign

The Hartsville Police Department will be participating in the 2020 Thanksgiving Holiday Campaign administered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).  The campaign will run from November 25th – 29th and will focus on the aggressive enforcement of impaired drivers.  According to NHTSA, from 2013 to 2017, more than 800 people died in alcohol impaired driving crashes during the Thanksgiving holiday period, making it one of the deadliest holidays on our roadways.

City Council Renews Ordinance Requiring Face Masks

At a Regular City Council Meeting held on October 13, 2020, City of Hartsville City Council voted to extend the temporary ordinance requiring customers to wear face coverings in Hartsville to help combat the spread of COVID-19. This ordinance passed with a vote of 7-0 as all council members were in favor of continuing this precaution as a part of COVID-19 response. Hartsville Police Department’s DUI Project – Final Report 2020

From October 2019 to September 2020, the Hartsville Police Department DUI Officer worked hard on this project to keep Hartsville safe for those who live, work, and visit our great city.  Despite some of the inactive time due to the pandemic and other “road blocks” that we encountered along the way, the DUI project was still successful in 2019-2020.

Mask Up Darlington County Initiative Begins

 

Partners within Darlington County have teamed up to present a Mask Up Darlington County initiative to encourage residents and visitors to mask up to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
