Holiday Sober or Slammer! Campaign

The Hartsville Police Department (HPD), South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS), and law enforcement partners statewide will conduct stringent enforcement of impaired driving laws as part of its Sober or Slammer! campaign beginning December 13, 2019 through January 1, 2020. HPD is encouraging drivers to make a plan now for a safe ride home from parties and celebrations this holiday season.

2019 Hartsville Christmas Parade

One of the most well-kept holiday traditions in the Hartsville community is the Hartsville Christmas Parade. The 2019 parade will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 14 as a part of the Hartsville for the Holidays season. As a collaboration of the community, the Hartsville Christmas Parade will feature Hartsville’s first responders, local businesses, marching bands, dance troops, and an appearance from Hartsville State Champions as Grand Marshals. City of Hartsville Observes SC Arbor Day

The City of Hartsville will observe South Carolina Arbor Day on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Lawton Park Playground located at 716 Prestwood Drive. Arbor Day is celebrated in the state of South Carolina on the first Friday in the month of December to mark the beginning of the state’s planting season. City of Hartsville representatives will be planting a Forest Pansy Eastern Redbud Tree.

The Hartsville Museum presents the Darkside Tour of Hartsville

 

The Hartsville Museum presents the Second Annual Darkside Tour of Hartsville this October. Hartsville Police Department DUI Grant Final Report (2019)

From October 2018 to September 2019, the HPD DUI officer has continued to work very hard to keep the streets of Hartsville safe for citizens and guests.  The grant officer issued over 400 charges and over 340 warning tickets.  The breakdown of charges are listed in the attached chart.  As a part of the grant’s proactive approach, the DUI officer held six public education meetings where he discussed several issues caused by impaired driving.  The officer held or participated […]

Main Street Hartsville Presents Treats on the Streets
