Neptune Island Concludes Successful First Season

Neptune Island Waterpark opened its doors to the public on June 18, 2018 and concluded its season on September 9, 2018. During the first season, Neptune Island saw over 64,000 guests in the brand new waterpark and projects to see 80,000 next season. The waterpark had over 6,000 season pass holders that frequented the waterpark this summer. Neptune Island welcomed visitors from a total of 25 states and a large volume of attendees within a 75 mile radius of Hartsville, SC.

On Thursday, November 15th, downtown Hartsville will be bustling with the holiday spirit as visitors and residents enjoy a variety of Hartsville for the Holidays happenings from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Hartsville Fire Department’s Annual Toys for Tots Giveaway

The Hartsville Fire Department is now accepting applications for their annual Toys for Tots Giveaway. Local families that are in need this Christmas may apply for assistance through this program in person at Hartsville Fire Department, 111 S. Seventh Street or online at hartsvillesc.gov/government/forms/toys-for-tots-application/. Applications will be accepted until November 30th, 2018.

Rodney Brockington has been an employee of the City of Hartsville for 14 years. He serves in the utilities department as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Rodney is also known as “Rooster” and has a reputation of delivering service with a smile around Hartsville. City Wide Curfew During Hurricane Florence

The City of Hartsville has imposed a city wide curfew effective September 14, 2018 7:00 p.m. through September 15, 2018 7:00 a.m. due to the impending weather conditions associated with Hurricane Florence. As the storm approaches our area, we anticipate hazardous driving conditions due to the rain and high winds. This curfew by the City of Hartsville is in place to protect the residents, visitors, and emergency personnel in the city.
