Downtown Block Party with BACKFIRE

A free concert in your downtown on East College Avenue, sponsored by Sonoco. Formed in 2011, Backfire is the perfect combination of cover tunes and professionalism in a smaller package! This power trio has created a diverse set list filled with standards every crowd wants to hear. They play everything from 60's standards, to pop country, to alternative and modern rock (and anything in between).

Closing Piano Recital of the Summer Piano Institute

For one week each summer, pianists in grades 7-12 from across South Carolina converge upon Coker College for the annual Summer Piano Institute. Students this year are from Columbia, Rock Hill, Chesterfield, Sumter, and Hartsville. They work closely with Coker College faculty and with one another to present an end-of-the-week recital in the Hannah Lide Coker Recital Hall. Please join them to hear their accomplishments!

Hartsville High School Marching Band Community Performance

The Marching Band been working hard during the camp to put together a performance for the community of Hartsville. They will perform the first 3 movements of the 2017 competition and do a stand still of their 4th movement. As viewers, you can come behind the scenes as the band will replicate the ideal contest setting. Arrive early so you can see the students warm-up and march the field. I are expecting a large crowd to come out.

Christian Fellowship Assembly of God Joins Thousands of Churches to Participate in National Back to Church Sunday on Sept. 17 Hartsville, SC – “Back to Church Sunday,” part of a national movement of churches across America, will be held at Christian Fellowship Assembly of God, 736 W. Carolina Ave., in Hartsville at 10:00 A.M., September 17. The “One Focus” singing group will be joining us. Everyone is welcome to attend. There will be a luncheon served afterwards.
