Brenda Kelley is Hartsville’s Hidden Hero for the month of July. Kelley has been with the City of Hartsville for 23 years and is currently the Business Development Manager in the City’s Navigator Department. Brenda is one of the lovely faces that greet business owners, developers, and anyone that may have a question about doing business in Hartsville in the Business Development Office also known as The Navigator.

Hartsville Safe Communities Hosts Ice Cream with a Cop

Hartsville Safe Communities, a division of the Hartsville Police Department, will be hosting Ice Cream with a Cop at South Park Apartments, 1301 S. Fifth Street, on July 25, 2019 from 5-6:30 p.m. Members of the community are invited and welcomed to attend this family-friendly event. Hartsville Police Officers will be in attendance to serve ice cream, play games, and converse with the community.

Operation Southern Shield 2019

The Hartsville Police Department will be participating in Operation Southern Shield beginning today, July 15th. The operation will run through July 20th and focus on the heavier summertime travel period when the fatality and injury crash rates increase significantly in the southeast.  Enforcement will consist of RADAR/LIDAR use and the use of public safety checkpoints.

Hartsville Fire Department will be hosting a Car Seat Installation Check at The Edition, 221 N Fifth Street, Hartsville, SC on July 17, 2019 from 3–5 p.m.  This drop-in safety check is free of charge for anyone interested in ensuring that their car seat is installed properly or installing a new car seat. City Swim Partnership with Hartsville YMCA

 

The City of Hartsville is excited to announce a partnership with the Hartsville YMCA to begin Hartsville City Swim.
