City of Hartsville recognizes local Eagle Scout project, Lawton Park kayak dock

On Fri., Oct. 20, at 5:30 p.m., the City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation department will host a ribbon cutting event in recognition of the new kayak dock at Lawton Park. The project was organized and completed by Ryan Traver, Boy Scout Troop 523, as his Eagle Scout project.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Hartsville Christmas Parade, scheduled for Sat., Dec. 9.  Businesses and registered non-profits are invited to participate and show their Hartsville Christmas spirit. City suspends trash collection services during Hurricane Irma

As the City continues to be cautious of the weather and wind predictions, crews will not collect trash on Monday, September 11.

Please secure bins during these conditions.

After the storm has cleared, bins can be placed curbside for pickup. Crews will be working to ensure that collection is back on schedule after the storm.
