If dodgeball was a favorite sport of yours in elementary school, then welcome back to the glory days. Find out if you still have what it takes to be a dodgeball champion with the City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation’s first adult dodgeball league. Hartsville Safe Communities requests community support at second repeat offender notification session

Local law enforcement request community support and participation in taking a stand against crime on April 13, at 5:30 p.m. That evening, the Hartsville Police Department’s Hartsville Safe Communities Initiative will complete a second repeat offender notification session in City Hall Council Chambers located at City Hall, 100 E. Police and Ministry continue partnership to improve community

The EMPOWER initiative (Employing Ministry and Police to Overcome Walls and End Racism) will continue efforts to improve the community this weekend. Founded in the fall of 2016, this partnership between the Ministerial Alliance, the Community Outreach Division of the Hartsville Police Department, and the City of Hartsville, works to make positive impacts in the area.

On Saturday, April 1, 10 a.m., the City of Hartsville and Coker College will host Eggstravaganza, a free community Easter egg hunt at Coker College’s Davidson Hall lawn. Hartsville High School Freshman donates stuffed toys for house fire victims

Hartsville High School Freshman, Dani Melton, purchased bags of stuffed toys for a donation to the Hartsville Fire Department as her service project for the 2017 Miss Hartsville High competition. These stuffed toys will go to child victims of household fires to comfort them after such a traumatic experience.

Clemson University’s 4-H program sponsored by City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation engages Hartsville youth

Hartsville youth can engage with Clemson University’s 4-H program to learn leadership, citizenship, and life skills. This program, sponsored by City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation, uses a learn-by-doing approach to empower Hartsville youth to become healthy, productive, and contributing members of society. Classes will begin March 15 and will continue every Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the TB Thomas Sports Center located at 701 W. Washington St.
