Motorists in downtown Hartsville will see the next phase in East College Avenue infrastructure improvements begin on the morning of Monday, Nov. 16, as the parking lot between Sophia’s Pizzeria and the Arcade Barbershop closes to allow repaving work to begin. The work will continue through at least the following six weeks, subject to weather conditions. All other City of Hartsville downtown parking lots will remain open during this time.

After a significant increase in mosquito populations coming out of the heavy rains in October, City of Hartsville Streets and Grounds workers will spray throughout the City on the evening of Friday, Nov. 6. The U.S. Small Business Administration announced the opening of a Business Recovery Center, Thursday, Oct. 29 to assist businesses in applying for low interest disaster loans. These loans are made available due to the SBA disaster declaration as a result of severe storms and flooding on Oct. 1-23, 2015 in South Carolina. Find out more here.
