Community Easter Eggstravaganza

 

On Saturday, March 27th, the City of Hartsville will host the Community Easter Eggstravaganza in four city parks. This will be a self-guided, at your own pace Egg Hunt that will kick off from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Pride Park, Lawton Park, Burry Park, and Byerly Park.

Neptune Island Announces 2021 Season Opening Day

Neptune Island Waterpark is counting down the days until summer returns and their gates open for the season. The region’s destination for summer fun will open to the public for the 2021 season on Sunday, May 16th following an exclusive 2020 & 2021 Season Pass Holder Day on Saturday, May 15th.

Hartsville Museum Receives SC Humanities Grant

The Hartsville Museum is proud to announce that they have been awarded a major grant from the South Carolina Humanities for the H.H. Butler—Grand United Order of Odd Fellows Digitization Project. Neptune Island Announces Seasonal Job Opportunities

The new year brings new opportunities for employment at Neptune Island Waterpark. Neptune Island is a 6-acre, family-friendly waterpark adventure located in Hartsville, South Carolina. Open seasonally from mid-May through Labor Day, the attraction has welcomed over 197,000 visitors in its first three seasons of operation. City of Hartsville Temporarily Closes City Hall and The Key

City of Hartsville City Hall (located at 100 East Carolina Avenue) and The Key (located at 106 East Carolina Avenue) will be closed to the public beginning November 24, 2020 until further notice as the facility is thoroughly sanitized due to a COVID-19 positive employee. Neptune Island Announces Season Pass Holiday Sale

As we settle into the colder months and summer seems far away, Neptune Island Waterpark is eagerly preparing for its next season. In that spirit, Neptune Island is excited to announce 2021 Season Pass sales will begin on Monday, November 30, 2020 during Cyber Monday. Typically, Cyber Monday sales only last for one day, but Neptune Island is giving guests the opportunity to purchase discounted 2021 season passes on both Monday, November 30th and Tuesday, December 1st.

2020 Thanksgiving DUI Enforcement Campaign

The Hartsville Police Department will be participating in the 2020 Thanksgiving Holiday Campaign administered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).  The campaign will run from November 25th – 29th and will focus on the aggressive enforcement of impaired drivers.  According to NHTSA, from 2013 to 2017, more than 800 people died in alcohol impaired driving crashes during the Thanksgiving holiday period, making it one of the deadliest holidays on our roadways.
