Hartsville Police Department Hosts Southern K-9 Conference

The Hartsville Police Department hosted the Southern K-9 Conference in Hartsville, South Carolina on June 21-23, 2021. Hartsville Police Sergeant Kyle Hause, under direction of Chief of Police Jerry Thompson, worked to bring Jay Kerr with Makor K-9 of West Virginia to Hartsville for this conference. The Department has a long-standing relationship with Makor K-9 as three Department Labradors have been trained there.

Buckle Up, South Carolina Campaign

 

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) and law enforcement partners statewide, including the Hartsville Police Department (HPD), announce the kickoff of the annual Buckle Up, South Carolina (BUSC) enforcement mobilization. Block Party Concert Series Returns to Downtown Hartsville

Hartsville Mask Ordinance Update

The mask ordinance passed by City Council in an April 13, 2021 Council meeting will end effective May 13, 2021 based on updated guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The CDC’s most recent update advised that Americans that are fully vaccinated may be without masks in most places.

City Council Renews Ordinance Requiring Face Masks

At a Regular City Council Meeting held on April 13, 2021, City of Hartsville City Council voted to extend the temporary ordinance requiring customers to wear face coverings in Hartsville to help combat the spread of COVID-19. Community Easter Eggstravaganza

 

On Saturday, March 27th, the City of Hartsville will host the Community Easter Eggstravaganza in four city parks. This will be a self-guided, at your own pace Egg Hunt that will kick off from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Pride Park, Lawton Park, Burry Park, and Byerly Park.

Neptune Island Announces Seasonal Job Opportunities

The new year brings new opportunities for employment at Neptune Island Waterpark. Neptune Island is a 6-acre, family-friendly waterpark adventure located in Hartsville, South Carolina. Open seasonally from mid-May through Labor Day, the attraction has welcomed over 197,000 visitors in its first three seasons of operation.
