Explore aviation with the EAA International Young Eagles Rally on Sat., Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hartsville Regional Airport, located at 1083 Hartsville Airport Rd. sponsored by City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation.

Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center to be home court of Florence Wildcats in partnership with City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation

In partnership with the City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation department, the semi-pro basketball team, the Florence Wildcats have chosen Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center in Hartsville as their home court for this season. The Florence Wildcats home opener is set for Saturday, May 13 beginning at 5 p.m. The Wildcats will face the Petersburg Cavaliers of Petersburg, Virginia. The Wildcats open the home stretch at 2-3, while Petersburg comes to town 4-3.

City of Hartsville hosts ribbon cutting for Garrison’s Place: A Handicapable Playground at the Byerly Park Recreation Complex on June 12

The City of Hartsville is inviting the public to celebrate the creation of the region’s first-ever playground designed for children with physical disabilities.

The ribbon cutting for Garrison’s Place: A Handicapable Playground, will take place 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12 at Byerly Park, 700 Russell Road in Hartsville. The newly installed facility is located next to the Piratesville Splash Pad and near the park’s Fourteenth Street entrance.
