Now this is something to howl about! Leash up Wonder Woman and Canine O’Brien and bring ’em on down to “Byerly Bark” to celebrate the opening of the City of Hartsville’s fetching new Dog Park! The new park has separate areas fur small and large doggos and sports benches, pupper water fountains, and waste stations among its amenities.

The Darlington County Humane Society will be at the ribbon cutting to let some of their adoptable pups try out the new park and to collect donations. In particular, they need puppy and kitten food, Clorox-brand bleach, paper towels, any size crates (new or used), and all sizes of collars and leads.

The Hartsville Police Department SC K9 Unit will be there with Scar, a black Labrador who’s an expert at detecting narcotics, and Maggie, a bloodhound who helps in missing persons cases.

The new park is located by the Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center near the outdoor track. Come sniff around with us!
