Regulations

The Yard Sale Permit is to be obtained seven (7) days prior to the sale and limited to three (3) consecutive sale days, only four (4) permits per calendar year will be approved for each individual and/or location.

If granted, a permit is valid for one location, must be displayed to allow inspection by city staff when needed, and is non-transferrable.

No signs can be posted on City trees, telephone poles, or light poles.

Sale Location Restrictions

No sales will be held in the following areas:

  • Carolina Avenue between Campus Drive and 7th Streets
  • College Avenue between 4th and 6th Streets
  • Home Avenue between 4th and 6th Streets
  • 4th Street between Railroad Avenue and Home Avenue
  • 5th Street between Laurens and Home Avenue
  • 6th Street between Laurens and Home Avenue
