The City of Hartsville’s Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring an event for local Pokemon enthusiasts of all ages, Pokemon Go in the Park! All Pokemon trainers are invited to wear their team colors each week at local parks and drop in on Tuesdays from 5-7pm. Each week a new park location will be picked and lures will be dropped at the location every 30 minutes. Free Gatorade will be provided for each registered player. Prizes will also be given away for Coolest Pokemon Picture, Weakest Pokemon Caught, and Team Competitions! Registration and other event information will be provided at each event. The schedule of locations is as follows:
- 9/6 – Burry Park
- 9/13 – Byerly Park, Soccer Fields
- 9/20 – Lawton Park Pavilion
- 9/27 – Burry Park
