Hartsville’s visitors and residents now have access to a powerful new tool for mobile devices which connects them with dining, recreation opportunities and events in the area, thanks to an effort by the newly established City of Hartsville Tourism Department.
The City of Hartsville app, covering local restaurant types from Asian to Southern fare, cultural venues from Black Creek Arts Council to the Hartsville Museum, shopping, local parks and playgrounds, hotels and even children’s activities like the Tales on the Town downtown scavenger hunt and a full local and regional events listing, is compatible for iOS and Android. It can be found in the app store by searching “City of Hartsville.”
“This is a wonderful information dissemination platform for our community as even toddlers are now having access to smart devices,” Hartsville Tourism and Special Events Director Jessica Cohen said. “Many of our treasures are well-kept secrets. This app could aid in maximizing the Hartsville experience for both residents and tourists alike.”
Paid push notifications are available through the app to interested businesses and organizations for their promotions, sales or events. For more information on the app or to obtain an event submission form, contact Jessica Cohen at 843.917.0602 or jessica.cohen@hartsvillesc.gov.
