Volunteers to Conduct Resident Surveys for Community Development Block Grant Application on August 24th & 25th, 2024
Hartsville, SC – On the weekend of August 24th and 25th, 2024, volunteers will be visiting residents on the following streets to conduct surveys as part of the application process for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). This grant, if awarded, will be allocated for essential sidewalk improvements, including the development of a multi-use path from South Hartsville along Washington Street, enhancing connectivity between the east and west areas. Additionally, the grant will support projects that improve ADA accessibility throughout the community.
Residents living on the following streets will be approached by volunteers:
- Washington Street
- 8th Street (from Washington St. to Jasper Ave.)
- 6th Street (from Washington St. to Jasper Ave.)
- 6th Street (from Washington St. to Fifth St.)
- Jasper Avenue
- Tillotson Avenue
- Marion Avenue
- Pitt Street
- Chaplin Circle
- Butler Street
- Hudson Street
- Lincoln Avenue
- Wilkes Circle
- Pleasant Lane
- Tuskegee Street
- Hampton Street
- Robinson Street
- Myrtle Street (from Washington St. to Security Dr.)
- Campbell Street
- Cooley Street
- Williams Street
- Martin Luther King Drive
- Wingate Drive
The surveys will gather critical information necessary to demonstrate the need for the grant, ensuring that the proposed improvements align with the community’s needs.
